| Albany Music & Sound has been in the practice of giving back to the
community. Because we get so many request for donations, we felt it
necessary to come up with some criteria for all future charitable
giving. This is our way of saying thank you to our faithful customers for the support you have given us over the 20 years we have been in business. We have two types of forms for charitable giving. Scholarship for music camp or tour. Four scholarship's of $25.00 will be given to individuals each year for band camp or a musical tour. Individual must have rented an instrument from us for at least one year in the past four years, if band student. You must write an essay requesting a scholarship and describe how you are involved in school music and what you have done to contribute to your school music program. We will judge applicants on a first come, first serve basis. Financial need will be considered and letters from your band or choir director must be included. Essay must be submitted after April 15 and before May 15. Scholarship requests must be submitted in writing and sent by mail. School Music Program purchase credit: The best way for us to contribute to school music education programs is a credit toward future purchases. Since we are in the business of selling musical products, it seems logical that we give a credit back once per year on any bid we receive. We will contribute back in the form of credit, 10% off any bid award, not to exceed $50.00. This means we will compete on price for any bid request and then credit back 10% beyond being the best price. This will help us ensure we are directing buying decisions to our community and not the internet. This will include instruments, accessories, print music and sound equipment and exclude repair. Applicable once per year per organization. Subject to approval by the management. School music purchase request's can be submitted via email, fax or phone. Organization must have a non-profit (501-3C) status, if not a school. This does not include band camp or tour scholarship's. We will no longer contribute to charitable organizations outside the musical community or our service area. We will notify you after May 15 for scholarship awards and in a timely manner on school bids. All decisions are final and solely at the discretion of Albany Music & Sound, Inc. Recipients must agree to have their name appear in future advertisements or publication's such as our web site.
